Here's a little about me...

Winning a contest to break into the biz is not the norm but like they say, “Timing is everything”. Tom started his career in morning radio with the Breakfast Club on Power 99 as Major Tom in 1987. He took advantage of the opportunity and quickly moved up the Radio ladder, first starting as a Traffic Reporter, Sports Director, then Producing, Writing and eventually Co-Hosting the Breakfast Club which won National acclaim as the nations #1 Morning Radio program and found himself on the cover of Billboard Magazine with the Morning Show Team. Moving from Radio to Acting Tom landed a TV gig where he Co-Hosted "Peachtree Morning" with Carmen Burns on NBC, winning an Emmy for his efforts as Best Host. He's also hosted TV Programs on Turner South and HGTV which won Emmy's as well. Tom is also one of Atlanta's most versatile actors starring in hundreds of Commercials, Corporate Films, Print Ad's, Voice-overs and more. His movie credits include Anchorman 2, Ironman3, Secretariat, Ray & October Baby just to name a few. Tom has the distinction of being the only Actor in Atlanta to win an Emmy, Telly, Addy, appear in an Oscar winning movie and take home the coveted Radio A.I.R. award for his work in Morning radio where he won Best Morning Show Personality and Best Non-Drive Time Show. He's also received numerous awards for his writing and production pieces as well. Tom also captured the Game Show Networks Coast to Coast Search for a Host Winner where he traveled to L.A. and hosted a game show “Live” on the air after beating Talent from Coast to Coast to bring home the award to Atlanta. Tom recently Celebrated 25 years with the Georgia Transplant Foundation hosting their annual event, Tom Glavines Spring Training with the Braves. The Atlanta Braves, Falcons, Hawks and Athletes from other teams go one-on-one with supporters in Pool, Ping-Pong, Air Hockey and other fun games throughout the night with incredible silent and live auction items. The GTF creates an awareness of Organ Donation, gives financial assistance to recipients and also created the "Jump Start" program to get Transplant Recipients back in the work place to help them lead normal lives. Tom has also worked with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Camp, has hosted several other events for JDRF including the Walk for a Cure, The JDRF Golf Tournament and Hope for a Cure Gala. Tom has written 5 children’s books that he hopes to have published soon and is working on his 2nd screen play. He has been married to his wife Donna for 27 years and has 4 children, Heather, Courtney, Drew and Thomas, has 2 Grandkids, Ben & Madden and loves to golf, baseball, Tennis, enjoys life in general and he likes to talk to God.
